Assessment of children's intelligence and positive growth is the goal of this.
Bulgaria uses the standardized WISC-IV or Wexler/Wexler test.
6 years to 16 years and 11 months is the test's target age range.
both intellectual endowment and mental impairment are diagnosed.
Administration 60 to 90 minutes.
It is appropriate for both children with special educational needs and typically developing children since it is used as a basis for developing a program for working with the kid in addition to serving as an intelligence test.
Plamen Kalchev and Nikolay Nikolov adapted the test in Bulgaria.
It gauges verbal comprehension, picture-thinking, and the rate at which information is processed.
It evaluates working memory ability, which is different from earlier versions and is crucial for speech development, calculus abilities, the shift from concrete-shaped to abstract thinking, and more.
Provide in-depth details and a critical evaluation of the child's cognitive processes and strategies.
Even though the child cannot read or write, the instrument enables for an examination.
With the WISC-IV, you receive much more than just IQ points. The scale incorporates cutting-edge theories of cognitive skills and provides a personalized evaluation for each child, not only by comparing it to the age standard but also by giving crucial, in-depth information about the strengths and weaknesses in its cognitive functioning.
This makes it possible for experts to suggest a child-friendly learning program and for schools to design a suitable learning environment and work plans for their kids. Ten core tests and five additional subtests make up the WISC-IV. Five domains can summarize them:
General intelligence;
- Verbal Comprehension
- Perceptual Reasoning
- Working Memory
- Processing Speed
